Innovative Driven is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join the team at an award-winning nationally recognized commercial bank client in New York City! This role requires exceptional leadership capabilities and a proven ability to oversee and manage a team's legal processes and eDiscovery functions. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in a similar role.
This is a full-time permanent position at the bank with a standard Monday to Friday schedule and a hybrid structure with one remote day per week.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for subpoenas, levies, garnishments, restraining notices, court orders, discovery demands, and related regulatory or judicial requests.
- Act as the primary liaison for legal process and discovery matters between all internal and external parties.
- Develop and implement standardized procedures.
- Establish clear accountability, reporting, and follow-up mechanisms across the workflow.
- Own and manage the legal process and discovery lifecycle.
- Support discovery and eDiscovery efforts, including litigation holds, data preservation, document collection, review coordination, and production.
- Administer and manage workspace setup, user permissions, searches, tagging, quality control, and production workflows in Relativity.
- Identify and mitigate discovery-related risk and cost.
- Work closely with in-house Counsel in the restructuring of the intake process and workflows.
- Review the work product of team members to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex questions, deficiencies, or missed deadlines.
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory examinations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience handling legal process and discovery matters.
- Senior-level experience overseeing subpoenas, levies, garnishments, restraining notices, and discovery responses.
- Advanced proficiency in eDiscovery platforms, including Relativity.
- Strong leadership presence and an ability to oversee and elevate team performance.
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Skilled in document management with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Excel, Safari SOP, or a similar legal process management system.
Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
