Job Title: Legal Assistant

Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 per year, discretionary bonus
A top-tier international law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant with demonstrable experience managing court filings and litigation dockets. This role supports litigation attorneys through a combination of clerical, organizational, and research responsibilities, including document preparation and review, legal research, investigations, fact-checking, and trial preparation.
Duties Responsibilities:
· Manage litigation calendars, court deadlines, and case dockets for dispute resolution matters
· Prepare, proofread, revise, and electronically file court documents in state and federal courts
· Draft routine legal documents and correspondence, including cover letters, engagement agreements, discovery shells, notices, affirmations, affidavits, and service certifications
· Assist attorneys with trial, hearing, deposition, arbitration, and mediation preparation
· Conduct factual research, investigations, cite-checking, and document review using electronic databases and court systems
· Monitor court dockets, retrieve pleadings, and track case developments and procedural requirements
· Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, discovery materials, and other supporting documentation
· Coordinate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, process servers, and e-discovery vendors regarding filings and case logistics
· Prepare exhibits, binders, and other litigation support materials
· Maintain attorney logins and passwords for court filing systems and vendor platforms
· Review and edit pre-bills and assist with client billing and collections communications
· Support client intake and screening processes
· Assist with court administration, CLE tracking, and other administrative matters related to litigation support
· Provide general administrative and clerical support to attorneys and legal teams while handling confidential information with discretion
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Strong knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures, including e-filing systems
· Experience managing litigation calendars, court deadlines, and case dockets
· Proficiency in drafting, proofreading, and formatting legal documents and correspondence
· Familiarity with litigation procedures, discovery, and trial preparation
· Strong research, organizational, and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail
· Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
· Experience with billing, e-discovery platforms, and vendor coordination preferred
Education and Experience:
· A bachelor’s degree is required
· 3-4 years of experience as a legal assistant/paralegal
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
