Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estates and Trusts Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. - Assist attorneys with estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate filings.
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, iManage, and other legal research tools to support case development.
- Manage case files utilizing document management systems like PCLaw and other legal case management software.
- Review and organize legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable laws including UCC law, tribal regulations, and securities law.
- Prepare drafts of legal correspondence, pleadings, contracts, and other documentation with precision and clarity.
- Coordinate client interviews by scheduling appointments and gathering necessary information for estate or trust administration.
- Support project management efforts related to complex litigation or estate settlement processes.
- Maintain meticulous records of case activities, data entry tasks, filing systems, and document review processes.
- Provide administrative support such as proofreading documents, transcribing recordings, managing phone etiquette, and supporting overall office organization. Qualifications
- Proven paralegal experience with a focus on estate planning or trust administration preferred.
- Strong knowledge of estate law, UCC law, family law, securities law, tribal regulations, patent law or related fields is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; experience with iManage or similar document management systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with legal case management software like PCLaw; ability to handle data entry and document review efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities.
- Effective interviewing skills to gather pertinent client information accurately.
- Strong clerical experience including filing, data entry, transcription, and administrative support functions.
- Knowledge of environmental law, landlord-tenant law, workers' compensation law or personal injury law is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating professionalism in all interactions. Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
