Position Overview:
We are seeking a Commercial Contracts Specialist/Legal Assistant to support Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional teams in negotiating, drafting, and managing a variety of commercial agreements. This is an in-house opportunity with high visibility and growth potential within a mid-sized pharmaceutical organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including MSAs, CDAs/NDAs, SOWs, vendor agreements, supply agreements, and clinical trial agreements
- Support contracting activities within the life sciences industry, ensuring alignment with internal policies and business objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, and Compliance within an FDA-regulated environment
- Identify contractual risk and provide practical, business-oriented solutions
- Maintain contract templates and support contract lifecycle management processes
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives within the Legal function
Qualifications:
- B.A. with 2+ years of legal, paralegal, or contracts experience preferred, or enrolled in an accredited J.D. program (2L/3L); candidates with more experience will be prioritized.
- 2+ years of experience independently reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements in a corporate or in-house environment
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- Familiarity with contracting in an FDA-regulated environment
- Extensive knowledge of corporate governance, intellectual property, employment litigation, and HR-related law
- Prior experience as a corporate paralegal at a pharmaceutical manufacturer preferred
- Strong organizational, customer service, and project management skills
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to start immediately
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $100,000 – $110,000 (commensurate with experience)
