Position: Entry level Patent Prosecution
Office: Downtown Los Angeles
Experience: 1-3 Years of Experience
Ideal Candidate:
We have a need for one or two entry level Patent Prosecution Agents in our Downtown LA office.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in:
- Preparing and prosecuting US patent applications
- Contributing to domestic and international prosecution strategies
- Providing technical and legal research and analysis with respect to matters pending before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
- Providing technical support for patent IPR, PGR, and litigation proceedings
- Working with, and training, Chinese and Taiwanese patent engineers and attorneys
- Potential travel to China and Taiwan
- Strong scientific/technical background in: electrical engineering, computer science, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering or medicine.
- Outstanding writing and analytical skills, and top academic credentials are essential.
- USPTO registration is required.
- Ability to read and speak Mandarin is a plus, but not required.

While our firm is new, its members have long-standing experience in the patent and IP fields. We have all worked together in the US offices for one of Asia’s largest electronics companies, which is now one of our clients. Our patent professionals typically prepare and prosecute more patent applications in one year than others may see in a career. This will allow you to rapidly become experienced in the patent preparation and prosecution.
