Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estates and Trusts Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Assist attorneys with estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate filings.
Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, iManage, and other legal research tools to support case development.
Manage case files utilizing document management systems like PCLaw and other legal case management software.
Review and organize legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable laws including UCC law, tribal regulations, and securities law.
Prepare drafts of legal correspondence, pleadings, contracts, and other documentation with precision and clarity.
Coordinate client interviews by scheduling appointments and gathering necessary information for estate or trust administration.
Support project management efforts related to complex litigation or estate settlement processes.
Maintain meticulous records of case activities, data entry tasks, filing systems, and document review processes.
Provide administrative support such as proofreading documents, transcribing recordings, managing phone etiquette, and supporting overall office organization. Qualifications
Proven paralegal experience with a focus on estate planning or trust administration preferred.
Strong knowledge of estate law, UCC law, family law, securities law, tribal regulations, patent law or related fields is highly desirable.
Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; experience with iManage or similar document management systems is a plus.
Familiarity with legal case management software like PCLaw; ability to handle data entry and document review efficiently.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities.
Effective interviewing skills to gather pertinent client information accurately.
Strong clerical experience including filing, data entry, transcription, and administrative support functions.
Knowledge of environmental law, landlord-tenant law, workers' compensation law or personal injury law is advantageous but not mandatory.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
