About the Opportunity
Our Litigation Group has a deep roster of talented commercial litigators practicing in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies nationwide. We are seeking an entry level paralegal. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wishes to learn paralegal skills working with experienced attorneys. It is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience for developing paralegal skills in a very busy team environment. This position will report to the assigned attorneys and Human Resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist attorneys with preparation of pleadings.
- Preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Proofreading, cite checking, and editing legal documents.
- Project management and organization of litigation cases.
- Fact research.
- Document collection and production.
- Coordination of outside litigation vendors.
- Assembling/filing/distributing briefs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and interact with attorneys, clients, all levels of staff and management at the firm.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; attention to detail
- Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints and high-pressure situations.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- High degree of initiative and self-motivation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Prior legal experience is beneficial but not required.
SALARY
The base salary for this position is $50,000 - $52,000.
Please note that quoted salary ranges are not guarantees of what final salary offers may be. The actual salary offered will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and training.
This is a hybrid position; in-office Tuesday–Thursday and as otherwise needed.
