LHH is partnering with a highly regarded law firm to identify a
Patent Prosecution Paralegal to join its growing intellectual property team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, high-performing environment known for strong retention, stability, and a supportive team culture.

Why This Role?
- Salary: Experienced IP Paralegal: High $80Ks+ (flexible for top candidates)
- Strong paralegals transitioning into IP: $65,000 - $70,000
- Remote Flexibility: Fully remote (Austin/Houston) or hybrid (Dallas)
- No formal billable requirement
- Bonus: Discretionary, performance-based year-end bonus
- Flexible schedules (7:30-4:30 or 9:00-6:00)
- Established remote workforce with strong communication and team connectivity
What You'll Do
- Support attorneys and clients across the full patent prosecution lifecycle
- Prepare, proofread, and finalize patent filings with the USPTO
- Manage electronic filings and coordinate with third-party vendors (drawings, foreign filings, certified copies)
- Track deadlines, maintain dockets, and partner closely with docketing teams
- Prepare IDS submissions and assist with office action responses
- Manage patent portfolios, including status tracking and reporting
- Communicate directly with clients and stakeholders on case updates and next steps
What You Bring
- 3+ years of patent prosecution experience preferred
- OR strong paralegal experience in another practice area with demonstrated stability and interest in IP (training provided)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills (critical to success)
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and legal systems (PerfectLaw or similar a plus)
- Strong communication skills and professional presence
