Pierce Davis & Perritano LLP., an East and West Coast law firm specializing in civil litigation and trial practice, is seeking a motivated professional legal assistant /paralegal to join our litigation team. This would be a great fit for those that enjoy legal assistant work with the opportunity to handle some paralegal work as well. Successful candidates must have 1-3 years of prior law firm experience as a legal assistant or paralegal. Experience with preparing and filing of pleadings including complaints, third-party complaints, answers, managing discovery, assisting with discovery management including drafting of interrogatories and requests for production, redacting, and bates labeling. Other tasks include preparing binders for hearings, and other miscellaneous tasks to assist paralegals and attorneys during trial preparation. Experience in Oregon and Washington State and/or federal court preferred. You will work with and support other paralegals and attorneys. Once aptitude to complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency is noted, additional paralegal work may be assigned.
The firm practices in a virtual paperless environment. The firm’s practice is heavily dependent on the use of technology and electronic case management systems, and the candidate must be skilled and comfortable with technology.
Required Skills:

- Strong computer skills. Highly proficient with the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- High level of professionalism, responsibility, and confidentiality.
- Type 70+ wpm.
- Ability to manage a high volume of email communication.
- Internet savvy with an ability to use the Web as a research tool.
Preferred Skills:
- College degree
- Familiarity with legal case management databases, including experience working with ProLaw legal management software, use of document management software, and other legal software.
- Knowledge of legal research tools and websites.
Experience/Education:
- At least three years of litigation experience required.
- College degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
- Microsoft Office

Work Schedule:
- Full time 8 to 5, Monday through Friday, with a hybrid work from home and work in office plan.
