We are looking for a highly experienced, detail-oriented, and organized Personal Injury Paralegal to support our attorneys throughout all phases of personal injury litigation. The ideal candidate must possess comprehensive knowledge in all areas of a personal injury case, including client intake, pre-litigation, trial preparation and proceedings, and settlement negotiations. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage cases from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage personal injury files from inception through resolution
- Conduct initial client intake interviews, gather relevant documentation, and maintain ongoing client communication
- Draft, review, and organize medical record requests, bills, and lien documentation
- Prepare demand packages, including detailed demand letters and supporting exhibits
- Draft and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, independent medical examinations (IMEs), and expert witnesses
- Maintain and update case management software with accurate, real-time case information
- Communicate with insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, medical providers, and court personnel
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents for attorney review
- Track statutes of limitations, filing deadlines, and calendar all critical dates
- Review and summarize medical records, police reports, and other case-related documentation
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness binders, and coordinating trial logistics
Required Qualifications
- Highly experienced paralegal with a strong background in personal injury law (plaintiff or defense)
- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge across all phases of a personal injury case, including intake, pre-litigation, litigation, trial, and settlement
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent education preferred
- Strong knowledge of personal injury litigation procedures, medical terminology, and insurance claims processes
- Proficiency with case management software (Clio preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis)
- Familiarity with e-filing procedures in state and federal courts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pre-litigation and litigation phases of personal injury cases
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid liens and subrogation
- Notary public certification
