As a Intellectual Property Coordinator you will join forces with attorneys and other support staff to work on matters related to patent prosecution, including case preparation and file management.
Position Details
- Perform and/or manage day-to-day client and attorney functions related to patent practices.
- Process incoming and outgoing file transfers and prioritizing action items based on urgency.
- Manage assigned dockets and collaborate with IP docketing team and/or IP Specialists.
- Serve as an expert regarding IP processes and questions for both clients and inventors.
- Manage client reporting and tracking including status updates, annual filing updates, IDS tracking, and attorney assignments within varying platforms and databases.
- Manage the client's billing process and collaborate with Accounting as needed.
- Serve as group project lead related to client transfers, intakes processes, creation of client/ business processes, etc.
- Serve as a training lead when needed for client group and/or other junior practice group members.
- Identify and conduct quality review of client focused work product to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- In conjunction with leadership, develop and maintain client procedural and training documentation, form letters and templates, checklists, etc.
- Serve as attorney liaison, as well as collaborate across groups to create efficiencies and streamline processes to achieve client or firm goals.
Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent experience in a skilled administrative role is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Proficiency in Adobe is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working under strict deadlines.
- Ability to perform effectively with little or no supervision and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines.
