Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing a wide range of data and documents, providing thorough assessments and reviews to support various legal matters. Your keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to interpret complex information will be essential in ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple practice areas. Responsibilities
- Carefully review legal documents, data sets, and case files to identify relevant information and discrepancies
- Conduct comprehensive legal research across diverse areas including estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, and litigation matters
- Assist with document management using systems such as iManage, PCLaw, LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other case management tools
- Support attorneys by preparing summaries, reports, and reviews of data and documents for case evaluation
- Ensure accuracy in data entry, filing, and document organization within various legal administrative systems
- Proofread legal drafts and transcriptions to maintain high-quality standards in all written materials
- Collaborate with team members on project management tasks related to document review and case preparation
Requirements
- Prior paralegal experience or strong familiarity with legal administrative tasks in a law office setting
- Proficiency with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw; experience with iManage or similar document management systems is a plus
- Knowledge of multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, and litigation procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing data/documents and providing accurate assessments
- Effective communication skills for interviewing clients or witnesses when necessary
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Experience with legal drafting, proofreading, transcription, and contract review is desirable
- Familiarity with project management principles and administrative support tasks such as filing and data entry
